So today, to cheer you up a little, we have six beautiful natural places that you can visit virtually. It’s true that you cannot go out in the world, so we brought the world to you!

Cherry Blossom, Washington D.C.

Come Spring and the streets and skies of Washington D.C are covered in the pink hue of cherry blossom. And this year, to make sure that the nature lovers do not miss out on this spectacular view, the Trust for the National Mall, along with  National Park Service and the National Cherry Blossom Festival brings the beloved nature event into the living rooms of people across the globe. Check out the live cam here.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Queensland

This world’s oldest and largest home for Koalas is temporarily closed due to COVID-19, but the cuteness continues online. They have installed eight different Koala cams across the 45-acre property so that you can catch these little bundles going about their happy days. You can watch them here.

Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, Chiang Rai

The sight of baby elephants tumbling and rumbling always puts a bright smile on our faces. And this elephant camp in Thailand is providing wholesome happiness with live streams of their elephant residents on social media. It is Anantara’s charitable organisation which was set up in 2006 to rescue elephants from cities in Thailand and give them a better life. The live streams are scheduled for 7:30 am and 4 pm, Thai time, every day on Facebook and Instagram and their website. I’m sure you’ll not get enough of these adorable elephants and their antics.

Saint Lucia Island

Wouldn’t it be amazing to get away from it all, hop on a plane and visit a beautiful tropical island? The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority is inviting everyone for a ‘virtual escape’ for seven precious minutes airing the pristine waters, local culture and the natural beauty of the island. You can discover Yoga and Meditation at the Pitons or cook an authentic local dish with Chef Shorne Benjamin. All these mini-series and much more shall be aired twice a week on Instagram. You can follow their handles, @TravelSaintLucia on Instagram and TravelSaintLucia on Facebook.

Northern Lights, Churchill

This stream of the Northern Lights airing directly from a webcam in Churchill, Canada is adding a little zen and a good dose of wanderlust that we all really need right now. Luckily for us, right now is the best time to catch a glimpse of the aurora borealis, better known as Northern Lights.

Hang Sơn Đoòng, Vietnam

The world’s largest cave, in central Vietnam’s Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, is one the best nature’s wonder in the world. Sơn Đoòng 360 is a project by National Geographic which lets you explore 360-degree images, atmospheric sound effects, the scenic light-filled caverns, passing through a 70-metre-tall stalagmite called Hand of Dog, and a massive sinkhole jungle. This cave is like a world in itself.
