Un Recognizes Sikkim As The First 100 % Organic State
PM Narendra Modi declared Sikkim as India’s first fully organic state in 2016. And now, the UN has confirmed that Sikkim is world’s first 100% organic state. Sikkim beat 51 nominees from 25 countries to win this prestigious award. RECOGNITION BY UN Sikkim’s formal felicitation was held in Rome, at the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. The Future Policy Award is presented for the best laws and policies promoting agro-ecology.
