Udemy is an American online learning platform aimed at both adults and students. With courses at low as ₹ 360, Udemy hosts mostly paid video tutorials in a wide range of general topics including personal development, design, marketing, lifestyle, photography, software, health, music, language, and more. With more than 295 million course enrolments they also have around 57,000 instructors around the globe. Now maybe a good time to work on enhancing your skillset.
Coursera
Started by Stanford professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller, the website offers a lot of open online courses, specializations, and degrees. They offer a full Master’s degree in Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris; Masters of Accounting from the University of Illinois; Master of Computer Science in Data Science and Masters of Business Administration which is also from the University of Illinois. In 2018, they also launched six fully online degree courses including bachelor’s qualifications.
EdX
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University created this platform in May 2012 which hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines, including some courses at no charge. EdX has around 18 million students as of now who take more than 2,200 courses online. Courses vary from Architecture to Medicine to Philanthropy. Take your pick!
Khan Academy
Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan, with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are available for free to users of the website and app. Due to the pandemic, they also have special classes for school-going kids.
Masterclass
The most interesting of all the online learning websites would be Masterclass. With a monthly subscription, you can get special classes in the form of pre-recorded videos from experts in different areas. You have classes by Stephen Curry, Dan Brown, Gordon Ramsay, Hans Zimmer, Usher, Serena Williams to name a few and are masters of their craft. They speak about their journeys and what they did to be the best in the game.
