The refreshing fruits are probably the best part about summers, and while mangoes, strawberries, and blueberries have flooded the market, why not add a fruity twist to water with these fresh ingredients?

They’ll add a nice flavour as well release their essential nutrients and vitamins in the water.

All these infusions can be added to a litre of water, and rest assured, they are seriously tasty.

Strawberries + Basil

Nutrition Facts:

Strawberries – rich in vitamin C, B6, K, E, manganese, folate, and potassium.

Basil – is loaded with Vitamin A, K, calcium, and iron.

Adding strawberries to anything just alleviates it, and water is no exception. This duo will boost your immunity, protect your heart, and reduce blood pressure. Basil reduces stress and ageing, relaxes blood vessels, and helps to thin the blood. Whereas, strawberries improve vascular function, blood lipid profile, and decrease cholesterol.

Lemon + Oranges

Citric foods are powerhouses of Vitamin C and starting your day with infused water helps to keep the gut healthy, improve your skin health, and aid in weight loss. Kiwi + Mango

How to go about it?

You can take a large pitcher that can hold up to a litre of water.

Choose the ingredients of your choice, chop or bruise them and add them to the water.

Mix well and let this concoction stand for half an hour, this will get all the goodness of the ingredients in the water.

Sip this water during the day.

Ideally, the ingredients should not be used more than twice.

P.S – Do not go overboard with the ingredients, a few pieces go a long way!
