And keeping this legacy alive, the Kabira Festival’s fourth edition is being held in this holy city in the month of November. Celebrating life, literature, and music of the 15th-century mystic poet Kabir, the Mahindra group has collated this ‘melting pot’ of art. It will run from 22nd to 24th November at the famous Shivala and Guleria Ghats in Varanasi.
It is a meticulously curated two-day event that allows you to live out the history of the world’s oldest city and its powerful character while coming close to understanding Kabir’s syncretic path of life. One can experience state-of-art music and literature programs, along with curated walks down the city’s alleys, talks and discourses, and dreamy boat rides on the Ganga.
Relish in an array of local delicacies, which are rooted in Varanasi’s ancient culinary traditions. Bask in the morning sun rays on the Ganga ghats accompanied by the soulful and soothing music sessions by leading artists.
Young and passionate performers such as Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café, Neeraj Mishra and Ujwal Nagar, along with veterans like Om Prakash Nayak, Mooralala Marwada, Shabnam Virmani and renowned sarangi player Ustad Kamal Sabri, among many others will take the center stage at this event.
