Imagining an 8-year-old running a YouTube channel is itself staggering. But Ryan Kaji is no ‘average Joe’. He runs the channel, ‘Ryan’s World’, which is popular for its ‘unboxing’ and reviewing of toys. And last year, he earned $22 million, which is up to $26 million this year. Today, the channel also includes educational videos for kids, such as science experiments. How did he do it?
His journey goes back to 2015 when he launched his channel ‘Ryan ToysReview’, which later became ‘Ryan’s World’. With his parents’ help, he releases a new video every day. His witty and honest opinions keep the audience thoroughly entertained. And this is clearly reflected in the number of subscribers on his channel, which are more than 20 million now. The most viewed video on Ryan’s World is HUGE EGGS Surprise Toys Challenge with 1.9 billion views.
This Texas boy has his toy and clothing lines, as well as a show on Nickelodeon and a deal with streaming service, Hulu. He wishes to be a game developer when he grows up and we cannot wait to see what the future ‘unboxes’ for him.
