The State’s CM, Mr Uddhav Thackeray may have the reins in his hands now but before even entering politics, he was and (still is) an ace wildlife photographer. Here’s more on his innate talent for wildlife photography.
An alumnus of the JJ school of Arts with photography as his main subject, he developed a keen interest in photography and journalism and took up photography professionally, especially aerial and wildlife photography. Getting behind the lens, it seems came naturally to him and as a professional, his work has been showcased at various exhibitions as well as been published in several magazines. However, he started out in advertising and set up his agency, ‘Chaurang’.
Yet, photography was his calling and he even has two photo books to his credit. Aerial shots of the rugged terrain of Maharashtra, it’s rich history, the majestic tigers in the national parks and other wildlife world over have been captured in his lens.
Besides, in the past, he has even organised an exhibition of his works, the sale of which went for the cause of farmers.
We hope his passion doesn’t get side-lined with his busy schedule now.
