Last year, the Tender Roots Academy of Performing Arts, in association with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) brought out the first edition of Mumbai Green Raaga; and, it was met with great success. This year, the non-profit organisation presents the second edition of this initiative on 5th January 2020 from 7.00am to 9.00am.
The aim of the initiative is to nurture the future generations of artistes and art-lovers. And this year, it is spreading its melodies to three new gardens, wherein 20 MCGM gardens will feature classical concerts simultaneously. Like last year, every garden will have an instrumental performance and a vocal performance. More than 120 artists from all across Maharashtra will perform this year.
This initiative helps to promote the rich intangible heritage of Indian performing arts through a multi-fold impact. It’s also a great opportunity for young, upcoming and dedicated artists to showcase their talent. Mumbai Green Raaga not only encourages the young in the field of classical music but also gets music closer to us and connects us with nature.
Enjoy a wonderful event of Indian melodies as you look forward to a promising new year.
