Bhopal’s Habibganj Station becomes the first station in the country to be redeveloped via public-private partnership mode under the station redevelopment programme of the Indian Railways. The revamp project was launched in July 2016 with a cost of Rs 450 crore. The project is divided into two parts: Rs 100 crore was earmarked for the facelift of the station, while the remaining Rs 350 crores.
